Our Pastor

Pastor Dwain K. White Sr.

On January 24, 1999 at 12:00 p.m. marked the beginning of a vision becoming a reality for Reverend Dwain K. White, Sr. Pastor White opened the doors of his business Power Music Incorporated located at 2114 N. Charles Street Baltimore, Maryland to a small group of baptized believers, which was the start of Christ Temple Baptist Church. On that faithful Sunday in attendance where Dayna Dessesow, Wesley Dessesow, Bobby Mann, Pastor Dwain White, Sr., Diane White, Dwain White, Jr. and David White. “Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them”. Matthew 18:20. From thence the congregation grew in size and in spirit as they worshiped God and sought his will for their lives.

Dwain was born in Baltimore Maryland, a graduate of Southwestern Senior High School and AIT. His work history began at the Bethlehem Steel Corporation where he was a crane operator in the Pipe Mills. After only fives years of employment there he returned to school and upon graduating from AIT he went on to work for one of the largest electronic manufacturers in the world (Matsushita Services Company) as a bench technician. Soon after his employment with Matsushita Dwain married his high school sweetheart (Diane Hargrove) and to this union where born three boys, Dwain Jr., David, and Dante. For the next fifteen years while servicing all of the electronic equipment manufactured by Matsushita during the day, Dwain was pursuing his passion by night, which was music. He then moved into the entrepreneurial arena opening two music production studios in Baltimore. Upper Room Productions began in the basement of Dwain’s home in 1987 while he was still employed with Matsushita. In April of 1997 upon his resignation from Matsushita Dwain opened his second music production company, located in the Charles Village area of Baltimore Maryland.

With the Lord’s guidance and Pastor White’s leading the membership of Christ Temple Christian Fellowship has experienced tremendous growth spiritually. Over the past thirteen years CTCF has incorporated numerous ministries and opportunities for worship. Their evangelistic efforts have included various forms of outreach such as clothing give- away, a food pantry, door to door canvassing of various communities throughout Baltimore, Christ centered neighborhood block parties, and a noon day service on Wednesday’s formerly known as the Hour of Power. Many weary souls received salvation and deliverance in the Hour of Power services. CTCF has also made popular a city-wide event geared to reaching the children called Youth Explosion. In this event children from all over the city come to share they’re testimonies and gifts for the Glory of God in a powerful and energetic service. This service which is near and dear to the Pastor’s heart is truly off the hook.

His Calling
"I'd rather live my life believing in Christ and die and find out that He's not true, than to live my live not knowing Christ and die to find that it was all true!"

Dwain came to know the Lord at the age of eighteen at which time he was saved and became an active member of Christian Community Church of God where Elder Conway Green was the pastor. He participated in the music ministry as the bass player, as well as implementing and overseeing the tape ministry. Dwain accepted the call to preach in September 1994 and continued faithfully serving in the ministry of the gospel at Union Temple Baptist Church where Dr. Gabriel P. Churn Sr. was the Spiritual Leader. While there he initiated discipleship classes and became very active in ministry to the homeless, the addicts, and those who were physically and/or mentally challenged. Min. White was ordained and set apart in November 1998 from Union Temple to begin a new church based on his call to pastor.

HIs Vision
As God expanded the vision of Christ Temple He also imparted a new direction for the name of this branch of Zion. In January 2007 the name was changed from Christ Temple Baptist Church to Christ Temple Christian Fellowship.

In January of 1999 the Lord led him to organize a new church and thus was the start of Christ Temple Baptist Church. Over the coarse of thirteen years Pastor White has lead the church faithfully through various fields of ministry, outreach, four locations, and one name change. In February 2006 Christ Temple Baptist Church went non-denominational and changed its name to Christ Temple Christian Fellowship. The church continues under the leadership of Pastor White to be a beacon in the night as they share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all who are lost and in need of hope. We thank God for the Faithful service of Pastor White and our beautiful 1st Lady Diane for together they have truly modeled what the christian marriage and family should be.
