About us

Who we are

On January 24, 1999 at 12:00 p.m. marked the beginning of a vision becoming a reality for Reverend Dwain K. White, Sr. Pastor White opened the doors of his business Power Music Incorporated located at 2114 N. Charles Street Baltimore, Maryland to a small group of baptized believers, which was the start of Christ Temple Baptist Church. On that faithful Sunday in attendance where Dayna Dessesow, Wesley Dessesow, Bobby Mann, Pastor Dwain White, Sr., Diane White, Dwain White, Jr. and David White. “Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them”. Matthew 18:20. From thence the congregation grew in size and in spirit as they worshiped God and sought his will for their lives.

Since it’s inception Christ Temple has only had to endure three changes in location, which was certainly a blessing from God. The first change was in September of 2005 when God led them to be a blessing to the New Fellowship Bible Church as they shared the edifice located at 501 Denison Street. The second change of location was to the Bentalou Recreation Center in April of 2007 where they worshiped for only five months. The third move God blessed them to purchase their very first property located at 2205 Maryland Avenue, Baltimore MD 21218, which is where they currently serve and worship. Provident Bank provided the financing as they went to settlement on August 10, 2007 and celebrated their first official service and dedication of the building on November 4, 2007. To God be the glory!

With the Lord’s guidance and Pastor White’s leading the membership of Christ Temple Christian Fellowship has experienced tremendous growth spiritually. Over the past thirteen years CTCF has incorporated numerous ministries and opportunities for worship. Their evangelistic efforts have included various forms of outreach such as clothing give- away, a food pantry, door to door canvassing of various communities throughout Baltimore, Christ centered neighborhood block parties, and a noon day service on Wednesday’s formerly known as the Hour of Power. Many weary souls received salvation and deliverance in the Hour of Power services. CTCF has also made popular a city-wide event geared to reaching the children called Youth Explosion. In this event children from all over the city come to share they’re testimonies and gifts for the Glory of God in a powerful and energetic service. This service which is near and dear to the Pastor’s heart is truly off the hook.

Our approach

Our Mission
Our mission is to bring Souls to Christ. We shall go and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, an in the name of the Son, and in the name of the Holy Ghost, Amen…

It became imperative to Pastor White that he remove any denominational barriers and let the world know that Christ Temple Christian Fellowship is a church that teaches the true, unadulterated gospel of Jesus Christ. That Christianity is not about religion, but a relationship to the father through the person of his son Jesus, the savior of the world.

Pastor White’s leadership is strictly based upon Christ having preeminence in everything we do. As God leads us by His spirit and empowers us by His word we shall continue to endeavor to fulfill the charge given us by Christ our Lord

Our Vision
As God expanded the vision of Christ Temple He also imparted a new direction for the name of this branch of Zion. In January 2007 the name was changed from Christ Temple Baptist Church to Christ Temple Christian Fellowship.

The Vision of CTCF takes its directives from the great commission given to the church by Jesus in Matthew 28. We believe that as we minister to the needs of all who struggle daily with life challenges, God opens the door for the impartation of His truth. Our Vision is the expansion of the kingdom of God by winning souls to Christ. It encompasses the acquisition of buildings to house the church and its various ministries, schools and day care facilities, homeless and substance abuse facilities, as well as after school facilities for tutoring, mentoring, and recreation for engaging our youth.
